Don’t beat yourself up

“Sometimes you are your worst enemy. All the time, you have subdue that negative voice within and just keep trying. It’ll make more sense. I promise, but just keep trying.” Nick

Bye hater !

“Do your own thing. Do not allow others to disturb you from your journey. Many people will come with their opinions. They will try to challenge you and make you feel you have to justify your decisions by their standards. Ignore them and walk on” Nick

If you’ve never tried one, its mildly sweet in taste and delectable as can be, soursopp is the fruit for me!  But seriously…it’s pretty tasty

Here’s a neat picture I found on how it looks on the inside and outside:

Dat Carrot & Stick Lifestyle

It was an apple and carrot night. Very odd things to have at 12:30 AM, but sometimes when you’re hungry and craving food,  you just gotta let your creativity take care of you. I walked away from my desk and wanted to munch on something. It was routine, the last thing I eat is light, I don’t do heavy after 10:00, especially if I know it’ll sit in my stomach. I went to work.

Grabbed the apple, and had the idea for the carrot. Grabbed the knife, flipped it to the blunt side and began cleaning it. This method works so well when you don’t have a peeler, or if you’re too lazy to go find it. Laziness hits all of us, hits me all the time, but that carrot and stick motivation sometimes comes in handy sometimes.

Get it? Carrot and Stick ? It means reward and punishment, but fitness and good health for me are no punishment, so in my mind the stick and carrot mean the same thing. I wouldn’t have what I have or been able to do what I’ve done unless I was disciplined. So whether it’s eating more carrots or using the stick to workout, keep going, it works.

See ! It really does work. I just picked my shirt up and they were there. No diet pills, no garbage, no supplements. 100% natural. It took knowledge, time, persistence and smart work. That’s right, I dislike working hard, so I work smart. Try it, it works!

Time to lay defeat on something or someone

“Whatever that enemy may be, whether it be procrastination or a physical person, you win when you overcome it, you succeed by doing. It’s time to lay the defeat on something or someone today” Nick

(Shout out to Charlie Peppers who made this possible !)

What I drink when I’m feeling sick

My favourite thing to cleanse my system and combat an oncoming cold or fever.

I squeeze half a lime/lemon in lukewarm water (it absorbs better) and drink. Great for the throat, tons of vitamin C and has consistently helped me.  It has worked especially well after a long stressful day; many times I feel the stress can lead me to feeling sick, so I get my lime/lemon going  and I feel fantastic later.

Last night I had a sneezing fit and a cough; got outside took in some fresh air (changing your environment can help sometimes) and had a glass of this stuff. Felt so much better.

I’ve also used it as a sort of cleanse, usually before breakfast, I’ll take some time before I eat, guzzle some water and some of this stuff and then hit breakfast. It helps a ton that my usual eating regimen is clean and I eat for my body i.e. I don’t stuff myself and when i’m satisfied I stop eating. Less to store, less to deal with later on right ?

It’s your heart, follow it

I can’t emphasize this enough. This week has been all about this for me. Everywhere I turn, wherever I look, it’s all about your personal journey and knowing that people will criticize you no matter what you do, so it’s best to walk away from them and do it anyway. When you fall down, instead of following their lead by saying “I told you so”, you gotta get right back up man, and make a new decision, and follow through until you’re where you want to be.

This week’s theme seems to be…

“Why ? because we have to run our race, not run the race others want us to run. It’s our life, we have to live it. If people don’t want to run next to us they need to step off it. You don’t need fake anything, and real results come from doing things your way. Failure ? It happens, you learn and grow from it, so get out there and make a decision. Just decide, if you miss your chance or fail now, there’s a next time and many more after that. There’s no 1 way, nor 1 right or wrong answer, so go get it done.”

Choose to keep your inner peace

“Monday ?! No Sweat ! We’ll be keeping our peace today folks. Hardship is the contrast we need to make our lives better.” – Nick
